Since its opening in January 2017, the Gallery
has featured plein-air oil painter Chuck
Prudhomme; pastel artist Roby Baer; colored
pencil art by Western artists Jamie Means
and Barbara Ann Ramsey; photography &
art by Western artist Linda Rosser; abstract
art by Alphonso Acosta; Ceramic art by
Jay Murphy, Jan Cameron, Benson Pottery,
Palul Rideout and Chrissie Clapp; custom
furniture art by David Widlund, and currently,
B&W photography by Gary Wagner. Local
featured artists were oil painter, Kleya Forte-
Escamilla and Landscape artist Brandon
Sebastien. In addition there were theme
exhibits by members of the Gallery; Forgery
Art, Miniatures, Halloween, Decorative Arts,
and a Different Point of View. Space for Gallery
members art is provided in every exhibit.
The consignment gift shop in a room
adjoining the Gallery features smaller art
pieces in a variety of media. Volunteer
Charlotte Certain is the coordinator.
Those wishing to exhibit or have items on
consignment in the gift shop including those
created in the Studio' art classes, may do so
by becoming a member of one of the three
organizations. Robert Bird Tehama County
Arts Council Chairman, said, " We want this
art center to be for Tehama County. All artists
are welcome."
"We want our exhibits to be an educational
process as well for the community and
the artists, a place where they can make
connections with each other through art
and instruction," said Executive Committee
member Barbara Luzzadder, who does
publicity for the Gallery exhibits and
is a regular volunteer. We have a great
opportunity for this to happen in partnership
with the Art Studio in the basement offering
both instruction and exhibiting in the
same venue. "
