Lisa Bradley, 36, of 2115 E. Main St., Petersburg, was arrested on charges of unlawful possession of a sy- ringe, possession of meth less than five grams and pos- session of a narcotic drug (heroin). All three are level 6 felonies. She was also pre- liminarily charged with pos- session of a synthetic drug, possession of paraphernalia and unlawful possession of a syringe. Jeremy W. Kirgan, 36, was arrested on charges of possession meth less than 5 grams, possession of a syn- thetic drug, possession of paraphernalia and unlawful possession of a syringe. Petersburg Police Cpl. Kyle Mills said he was on routine patrol in Horna- dy park at 1:18 a.m. Tues- day when he noticed a vehi- cle drive into the park from CR400N (back entrance) and go around the pond. Mills said the park is closed from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. Mills said he followed the vehicle to the stop sign where it sat for about 10 seconds before turning right toward the ex- it, before he stopped it. He said while telling her the park was closed, she told him she made a wrong turn off of Highway 57 and she was trying to get to Ha- zelton. Cpl. Mills said Bradley didn't have any identifica- tion, but her passenger Kir- gan did. Cpl. Mills said while talk- ing to Bradley he noticed the odor of synthetic mar- ijuana on her. He said both Bradley and Kirgan denied doing any illegal drugs. Mills said a search of the vehicle by State Trooper C. J. Boeckman and Depu- ty Sheriff Jason McKinney found a small gold box that was open with a half-cut spoon that had a white pow- der substance on it. They al- so found a syringe in the ar- ea between the driver and passenger seat of the van, as well as a metal contain- er with a green leafy sub- stance in it. The white powder field- tested positive for meth. Both Bradley and Kirgan denied any of the drugs or paraphernalia being theirs. However, Mills said when he asked them if they would test positive for meth at the hospital, both said they would. They were both taken in- to custody. Mills said at about 4:36 a.m. he got a call from jail- er Michael Stephens tell- ing him Stephens had lo- cated something in Brad- ley's property. Mills went to the Pike County Jail, and Stephens showed him a glass con- tainer with a with plastic corner bag in it that Ste- phens found in Bradley's shoe. Mills said it had a gray rock-like substance in it that field tested positive for heroin.
