Second graders Jersey Vickers, Sadie McCrary and Claire Bolin stretch during their warm-up ex- ercises for gym class. Amber Cassity and Samuel McConnell jump the hurdles during gym. The fifth graders are studying our galaxy, the Milky Way. They are using a model and Chrome- books to research spiral galaxies. Third grade students created poster boards during their Author Study unit. Mrs. Hartke's second grade class has fun, while working on their Chromebooks during So- cial Studies. OMA students had their first school fundraiser and it was a huge success! All OMA students did a wonderful job! Top sellers were rewarded with great prizes! Monday, April 16: Pork chop with roll, sweet pota- to fries, baked beans and a banana. Tuesday, April 17: Pizza quesadilla, garden salad, cooked carrots and diced pears. Wednesday, April 18: BBQ nuggets with roll, scal- loped potatoes, corn and an orange. CALENDAR April 12 and 13 - There will be Kindergarten Round- up screening for Petersburg students that will be 5 years old on or before August 1. Please call ASAP to sched- ule a time for your child's screening if you have not done so. Current Pre-K stu- dents still need to sign up! April 16 through May 4 - Second Round of I-STEP testing for grades 3-5. Par- ents please help us out by making sure your child is well-rested and has a good breakfast. April 20 - Pre-school screening. Any child that will be four on or before August 1, 2018, is eligible to be tested for pre-school. Call the office to make an ap- pointment.
