Post Staff OAK CREEK — An Oak Creek High School teacher has been charged with two counts of sexually assault- ing a 15-year-old girl. Michael Jossie, 39, of New Berlin, was charged for activity that occurred in the first two months of the school year, although a crim- inal complaint mentions sex- ual activity that took place over the summer. The girl said they knew each other for about a year and grew close, with Jossie first kiss- ing her on the cheek in May. The complaint said the two had sex in a hotel in August. They were discovered after a school maintenance employee opened a locked classroom and saw the girl with her torso exposed and she then quickly dressed while Jossie stood in front of her and told her to finish her homework, according to the complaint. Jossie is scheduled next in court Tuesday for a pre- liminary hearing. If convicted of the charges, he faces up to 40 years in prison on each count.
