but there are several sections that allow you to
build up some speed.
Don't get so caught up in the trail that you
miss the sights, as they are spectacular. The
view from the top of the ridge just south of Inks
Creek is well worth the climb, and you'll enjoy
views of Lassen from the south entrance. Both
offer stretches of lush grasslands studded with
oak and seasoned generously with wildflowers
in the spring.
For a challenge, park at either entrance, ride to
the other and then complete the loop on the
lightly traveled roads. This is a 30-mile loop
with 11 miles of trail. There's water available
at the Bend Bridge Boat Ramp and Bend
Elementary School, making it easy to refill your
bottles along the way.
Remember to keep the Bend the gem that it is.
Stay on established trails and leave no trace.
