The Big LeBowski aT BouLevard PooL Dudes, we finally got the venue we wanted. Joel and Ethan Coen's modern comedy classic The Big Lebowski is screening at the Cosmopolitan on Monday night. (The Cosmo is on Las Vegas Boulevard, near the In-N- Out Burger.) And are you ready for this? The movie stars Jeff Bridges, who's not a hero— 'cause what's a hero?—but he's the man for his time 'n' place. Fits right in there. It also stars Steve Buscemi and John Goodman … what, have you ever heard of a little show called Roseanne? John Goodman co-starred in 221 episodes—the entirety of the series. Not exactly a lightweight. So we'll, uh, see the movie—should be a delight; the Cosmo's poolside movies usually are—and we'll have a few drinks, a few laughs. Our problems are over, dudes. $5. –Geoff Carter 3 p l ay s t o c at c h i n J u ly Instead of a classic film noir, watch a "clown noir." Majestic Reperto- ry Theatre brings a new dark comedy to Downtown from July 13-29. Tapping Clown Bar for a "critic's pick," The New York Times describes it as "unabash- edly silly but also shrewd" and "a show made for those who enjoy a few winces along with their grins." The immersive play fol- lows Happy Maloney, a cop who descends into the gritty clown underworld to investigate his brother's murder. Sounds pretty much like a regular day in Las Ve- gas. $25, Massive spoiler alert: Winter is coming … no, scratch that, "laughter is coming." Two days before the Season 7 premiere of HBO's mega-hit Game of Thrones, the Space offers up some light- hearted fun. Running July 14-23, Thrones! The Musical Parody was created by improv group Baby Wants Candy. It has sold out shows both in the UK and state- side. "I could not help but laugh, be slightly embarrassed, but be wholly delighted," one reviewer wrote on Chicagotheatrereview. com. $35-$55, Finally, a jukebox musical revue spotlighting women's voices. Beehive the '60s Musical (July 14-30) features a six-woman cast who channel multitudes: Diana Ross, Janis Joplin, Tina Turner, Aretha Franklin and more. Expect a bevy of hits as the loose storyline takes you through the transfor- mative decade: "My Boyfriend's Back," "Downtown," "Respect," "A Natural Woman," "It's My Party," "Son of a Preacher Man," "Me and Bobby McGee" and more. $25, –C.
