Compassion that never fails Because of the Lord's great love, we are not con- sumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new ev- ery morning; great is your faithfulness (Lamentations 3:22-23). God's compassion and forgiveness is something that we as Christians and even non-Christians can depend on and for which we can be thankful. For without this compassion, we would all be lost. This is one of the greatest gifts that God could ever give us. Even when we think we are unforgivable, he still for- gives and shows us compas- sion. So don't let this world make you feel as if you are unforgivable or not worth saving. God has already forgiven us all and saved us through his son Jesus. And we can show others the way to him by showing compas- sion to them in their time of need and hurting. Everyone is welcome to all services. See our Facebook page Glezen Revival Center. Main Street, Petersburg Phone: 812-809-4544 Sunday services are at 10 a.m. and youth service at 6 p.m. Most of us have seen the horrible pictures of people in slavery, held captive with heavy iron shackles and chains. They have no free will of their own, but are ruled by a cruel task master. Sin is like that. In this world, we live under a crush- ing yoke to the sin nature. It began when Adam relin- quished to Satan the author- ity that God had given him. There was only one way for the chains of slavery to be broken and the debt to be paid. Jesus knowingly and willingly offered Him- self. He paid the debt and bought our freedom. We no longer have to live in slavery to sin. Not only that, but we are given the distinct hon- or of helping to liberate oth- ers from this sin slavery that leads to death. Jesus came that we might have life, and life more abundantly. The choice is yours. "It was for this freedom that Christ set us free [com- pletely liberating us]; there- fore keep standing firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery [which you once removed]" (Galatians 5:1). Our Mission Statement: To Know Christ; To Share Christ and To Live Christ. "Sing praise to the Lord, You saints of His, and give thanks at the remembrance of His holy name. For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for life; Weep- ing may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morn- ing. Hear, O Lord and have mercy on me; Lord, be my helper. You have turned for me my mourning into dancing; You have put off my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness, to the end that my glory may sing praise to You and not be si- lent. O Lord my God, I will give thanks to You forever" (Psalm 30 :4,5,10 -12). We look forward to see- ing you at all of our servic- es. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to join us as we gather for praise and wor- ship, celebration and study. Fred J. Sunday morning wor- ship service at 10 a.m. with Sunday school class- es at 10 :45 a.m.; Every oth- er Tuesday night, prayer at 7 p.m. The fourth Sunday of ev- ery month is music and the Word at Amber Manor at 2 p.m. Another day has come for church news. We have had computer problems after being stuck by light- ning. But we are up and running now. My prayer would be that the body of Christ be up and running. Being out doing the Mas- ter's work. We need in this hour to be reaching the lost, our family, friends, neighbors and those with whom we come in contact. As you look around, hear the news, the Word of God becomes more relevant, more alive and true. So we need to be in prayer ask- ing God where we are to go and begin to build the Kingdom of God. House of Mercy wel- comes you to our servic- es. You will be treated in so many ways, you are bound to like one. When in Winslow, drive by and see what God is do- ing. Pray for your country, our president and govern- ment, your local govern- ment, our soldiers and all pastors. Remember to pray for the sick and afflicted, and those in the nursing homes and hospitals. Be a friend to your neigh- bors, co-workers, any with whom that you come into contact. To have a friend, you need to be a friend. Je- sus said what you give out is what you will receive back. May you find peace and joy in your life this week. God's Servant and friend to Humanity, George Bruce, Pastor
