Mention the Tehama County
CattleWomen and what comes to
your mind? Women donning aprons
and fixing wonderful meals featuring
beef as the main entrée. Well, let me
tell you, this is one group of ladies
that serves up a lot of beef on a plate
as well as beef promotions in Tehama
County throughout the year.
Under the direction of President Jeanne Smith and her officers, the 102 directors
and members of the Tehama County CattleWomen are a very busy group of
ladies, supporting the Cattlemen and youth in agriculture during the entire year.
The dust doesn't settle under the feet of this group of ladies, and you aren't
required to own a cow to be part of this great group.
This year, the group was able to give out $11,500 in scholarships to the Beef
Ambassador Program and college students who are Ag majors. One of the
