For information, visit www.flwlib.org. Master Gardeners – Mequon Nature Preserve – A Hidden Gem Time: 7 p.m. Where: Auditorium, Ozaukee County Administration Building, 121 W. Main St., Port Washington Kristin Gies, executive director of the Mequon Nature Preserve, will speak to the Ozaukee Master Gardeners on a hidden gem of our community – the Mequon Nature Preserve. Gies will share the history of the preserve, the process of returning the urban/suburban area to pre-settlement condition and the development of environmental education programs that inspire exploration and cultivate stewardship, and encourage visitors to get off the path. The Mequon Nature Preserve is a natural habitat where native plants flourish and long absent wildlife is returning to the 438 acres of urban/suburban land, including acres of forests, wetlands and open fields bridging urban Milwaukee with surrounding northern suburbs. Fridays, April 28 through May 26 Pickleball for adults 55 and over Time: 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Where: Community Gym, W63 N643 Washington Ave., Cedarburg Cost: $3 per time Pickleball is a sport for all ages, similar to tennis, but on a court the size of a badminton court. The Cedarburg Senior Center is offering pickleball indoors at the Community Center Gym. The game is played by two or four people using wood paddle racquets and a plastic, poly ball with holes. Saturdays through May Pickleball Time: 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Where: John Long Middle School, 700 Hickory St., Grafton Cost: $3 per night Four regulation-sized indoor courts are available, with one court reserved for beginners.
