It is hard to believe the first quarter of the year is over already. Time does pass by quickly, that is for sure! But that means we are closer to the warm weather, and the dawn of spring and summer! is month's feature is a compel- ling one, and will probably make some folks uncomfortable while reading it. It is a topic that we all know about, and hear of on the news but how many of us actually know of someone who experienced what this month's interviewee lived through? I have to say this is the first direct exposure I have had to the world of child prostitution and pedophilia. In order to ensure his privacy, the real name of this month's intervie- wee has been kept secret. For all intents and purposes for the fea- ture, he is simply known as "John Smith." "John" first became exposed to this not so hidden world at the early age of 6, and became fully im- mersed in the child prostitution business at age 10. He worked the streets of Times Square in NYC, as well as being "rented" out for more private settings. e feature is also longer than normal and takes up much of the pages of this issue. However, it is an important topic and "John's" story is one that needs to be heard. Diversity Rules Magazine thanks "John Smith" for his willingness to come forward and share this part of his life that is now simply a dis- tant, but all to real, memory of his past. I hope you enjoy the other features included in this issue as well. As always, it is full of great stories, and commentary by our many guest columnists. Have a great spring! See you in May.
