Page 22 Welcome to the January issue of Di- versity Rules Magazine. It's amaz- ing that 2016 flew by as quckly as it did. While many good things happened last year, the election of Donald Trump has certainly cast a pall over our great nation. LGBTQ Americans have cause to be con- cerned, as well as other minorities across the land. It is quite incom- prehensible to me how Americans could have voted for such an inept and wholly unqualified man to be President. Some things will always remain a mystery. is is certainly one of those things. In spite of the impending arrival of such a toxic and vile administra- tion, as well as control of Congress by the GOP, we must all persevere the best we can, and continue our fight toward justice for all. Trump winning the election should give all Americans who care about our country the motivation to continue their efforts to move our country forward toward a better tomorrow. While it certainly will be much more difficult to achieve many of the progressive advancements that occurred under the Obama Ad- ministration, we should never lose hope and faith that the ship will be "lefted," and achieving fairness and equity will once again be the focus of our national government. e next 4 years will be very try- ing but we do have Congressional elections in two years that could help blunt the horrific impact that Trump and his evil minions shall inflict on our country. With that said I want to welcome our guest feature this month, Gina Humber, the author a children's book entitled, "It's All Good." Gina is an advocate for diversity and acceptance. I hope you enjoy her story. I want to wish everyone a Happy New Year and let it be filled with peace and abundance. Diversity Rules Magazine PO Box 72 Oneonta, NY 13820 James R.
