Dear Readers, Here's a rundown of articles in our Holiday-Arts issue: we feature the artist who has dotted the Applegate landscape with her metal sculptures (page 1) and provide outlets for your volunteer spirit and generous donations during the holiday season and beyond (page 1). We also bid a fond farewell to a man who contributed substantially to the well-being of the Applegate Valley for almost three decades (page 1) and welcome two newcomers to the area who are already contributing to the health and safety of the community in their own ways (page 2). Don't miss a major holiday event coming very soon—Pacifica's Winter Arts Fest will be held on Saturday, December 3 (page 2). (AVCN), provides the many rural and diverse communities of the Applegate Watershed with a communications vehicle, the Applegater newsmagazine, free of charge to all watershed residents.
