PHOTOGRAPHY BY RUSS MEZIKOFSKY (SEGEL); LISA RICHOV (COHEN) from left: I joined Stuart Segel, Samuel Johnson, and Justin Nieves to celebrate Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams during the retailer's Fashion Meets Furniture benefit for Youth Design; with Sephora's district manager, Todd Cohen, and regional vice president, Jessica Coombes, at the new store opening in Fenway. 26  BOSTONCOMMON-MAGAZINE.COM Follow me on Facebook at facebook.com/boston-common and on bostoncommon-magazine.com. glen kelley HOLIDAY SEASON IS IN FULL SWING, with all of its festive lights and decora- tions! We got a head start celebrating as we welcomed fashion designer Jason Wu to town for an event we co-hosted with Saks Fifth Avenue and the Museum of Fine Arts Fashion Council. Then we gathered at Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams for the Fashion Meets Furniture party, with partners Mr. Sid and Eleventy, benefitting Youth Design. Sephora's newest location opened at the Van Ness building in Fenway with a preview event and ribbon-cutting ceremony. I also had the pleasure of attending an exclusive event hosted by Royal Jewelers and Giovanni Carestia, president North America of Officine Panerai, that had the Italian brand's exquisite watch collection on display. Shopping for others during this time of year is at the top of our list. I'm looking forward to checking out the Prudential Center's new tower during its string of highly anticipated store openings—Under Armor, Tesla, Polo Ralph Lauren, Shinola, Eataly... This addition will prove to be a new go-to shopping destination—and lunch spot! Speaking of new… Things are moving faster than ever before, so in this issue we look at what's to come in the world of Boston digital by spotlighting our city's most influential social media stars (see "Insta-Boston," page 82). But before we move too fast, let's raise our glasses and spend time with family and friends. Wishing everyone a very happy and healthy 2017! LETTER FROM THE PUBLISHER
