COX Dixie K. Cox, 75, of Spur- geon, formerly of Madison County, Ind., passed away at 4:48 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 12, 2016, at Memorial Hos- pital and Health Care Cen- ter in Jasper. She was born Jan. 22, 1941, in Anderson, to Dan and Ruth ( Wheeler) Dayton, and was united in marriage to Brodie R. Cox on Jan. 2, 1958, in Phoenix, Ariz. She and Brodie have lived in Winslow and Spurgeon for the past 20 years; previous to this, they were residents of Madison County, Ind. Dixie was a self-employed reflexologist and member of Trinity United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; and one infant son, James Ray Cox. She is survived by her husband, Brodie R. Cox, of Spurgeon; three sons, Tim (former wife, Darin Cox) Cox, of Alexandria, Ind., Todd Cox, of Castal- ian Springs, Tenn., and Bar- ry (wife, Kathleen) Cox, of Greenwood; three sisters, Carmen Reynolds, of Globe, Ariz., Danene Dayton, of An- derson, and Georgeana Day- ton, of Florida; three broth- ers, Danny Dayton and Johnny Dayton, both of An- derson, and Terry Dayton, of Indianapolis; and seven grandchildren. Visitation was at the Nass and Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 4-8 p.m., EST, on Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2016, with a prayer vigil at 8 p.m., conducted by Pastor Larry Stoops. DENNIS DALE HOLT Dennis Dale Holt, 61, of New Castle, passed away Saturday, Nov. 12, 2016, at Stonebrooke Rehabilitation Center following an extend- ed illness. He was born Nov. 21, 1954, to Dempsey R. and Helen L. Holt. A 1973 graduate of West- ern High School in Russia- ville, Dennis was employed as a high voltage mainte- nance specialist at Public Service Indiana (now Duke Energy) for more than 23 years, until going on dis- ability. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Elec- trical Workers, and also the National Rifle Association (N.R.A.). An avid fisherman, he loved southern Indiana, where he resided for 17 years, and had also served as the secretary/treasurer of the White Oak Lake As- sociation. Left to cherish his mem- ory are his wife of 31 years, Joan (Cronk) Holt, of New Castle; two daughters, Kel- sie Holt, of Bloomington, and Kaycie Holt, of New Cas- tle; his mother, Helen Holt, of Kokomo; two sisters, Deb- bie ( Jim) Statzell, of Fair- field Glades, Tenn., and Da- na Holt, of Kokomo; a broth- er, Dave (Susan) Holt, of Ko- komo; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Dempsey Holt; and his grandparents. Ice, 91, of Giro, Ind., passed away Saturday, Nov. 12, 2016, at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Vin- cennes. He was born Sept. 7, 1925, in Pike County to the late John Wesley and Evamae (Potts) Ice. He served his country in the U.S. Army as a military policeman in Japan during W W II. He had lived in the Giro community his entire lifetime and on Dec. 8, 1951, he married Stella (Mosby) and they moved to their life- long home in Giro, east of Hazleton, where they raised four sons, gardened, farmed and raised cattle. In the 70s and 80s, they were avid parade goers with their black horse, George, and buggy. Most recently, he attended Dinky's auc- tions every Friday night. "Jim" loved to rebuild bug- gies and farm equipment. He was retired from Emge Packing Company in Fort Branch, where he had worked for 38 years. He was a former member of the American Legion Post and the Odd Fellows Lodge both in Hazleton and the White River Saddle Club. He was a lifetime member of the Antique Machinery Club and the Heck-Gonnerman Antique Machinery Club. He is survived by four sons and daughters-in-law, Michael James and Ann Ice, of Mt. Olympus, Ter- ral Wayne and Judy Ice, and Ronald Alan and Scarlet Ice, both of Giro, David Wes- ley and Joni Ice, of Peters- burg; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Betty Cain, of Princ- eton, Margie Shouse, of Madisonville, Ky., and Janie Arnold, of Petersburg; sev- eral nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 59 years, Stella (Mosby) Ice, in 2010 ; granddaughter, Emi- ly Brooke (Ice) Griswold, in 2007; grandson, Patrick H. Ice, in 2014; brother, Delbert Ice; and sister, Ruthie Ellis. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 17, 2016, at the Colvin Funer- al Home in Princeton, with Rev. Gary Arnold officiat- ing. Burial will follow at the Mt. Olive Cemetery in Mt. Olympus. Visitation will be from 3 until 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Seger, 44, of Winslow, passed away Tues- day morning, Nov. 8, 2016, at his home. Adam was born on April 4, 1972, in Huntingburg, to Lar- ry and Gerhen Lynn (Free- man) Seger. He married Terra Goeppner on Aug. 27, 1994, in St. Mary's Catholic Church in Ireland. Seger was self employed as an insurance agent and agri- culture product sales to farm- ers in the tri-state area. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Ireland. He enjoyed working with and participating in field tri- als with his beagles. He was a member of the American Kennel Association. He en- joyed spending time with friends and family, and hunt- ing and fishing. Surviving are his wife, Terra Seger, of Winslow; one daughter, Gabrielle Seger, of Winslow; one son, Mi- chael Seger, of Otwell; par- ents, Larry and Gerhen Lynn Seger, of Chrisney; mother- in-law, Marlene Goeppner; two brothers, Larry Seger, Jr. and wife Elaine, of La- mar, and Ryan Seger, of Las Vegas, Nev.; and maternal grandfather, Joe Freeman, of Grandview. Preceding him in death were his paternal grandpar- ents, Simon and Mary Seger; his maternal grandmother, Hairolyn Freeman; and his father-in -law, Lee Goeppner. A Mass of Christian burial was at 10 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 11, 2016, at St. Mary's Cath- olic Church in Ireland, Ind., with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation was from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 10, 2016, at the Bech- er-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church or a favor- ite charity. CARLA J. WUCHNER Carla J. Wuchner, 55, of Jasper, passed away at 2:40 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 10, 2016, at St. Mary's Medical Center in Evansville. She was born in Jasper on Nov. 10, 1961, to David and Wilma Jean (Sermersheim) Wuchner. She was a 1980 gradu- ate of Jasper High School. She graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1985 from Western Kentucky University with a degree in marketing. During her college years, she was a member and treasurer of the Kappa Delta Sorority and president of the Delta Sig- ma Pi business fraternity. She was an initiate and pres- ident of Omicron Delta Kap- pa Leadership Honor Soci- ety, member of Beta Gamma Sigma Business Honor Soci- ety and treasurer of the Or- der of Omega Greek Honor Society. She was named to the "Who's Who Among Stu- dents in American Colleges and Universities." She was a past member of Trinity United Church of Christ. She is survived by her mother, Wilma Jean Wuch- ner, of Jasper; one sister, Kimberly (Kenneth) Dietz, of Vanleer, Tenn.; stepmoth- er, Carmen Wuchner, of Pe- tersburg; stepsister, Cheryl Craig, of Petersburg; step- brother, Gary ( Julie) West, of Haubstadt; and several niec- es and nephews. Preceding her in death was her father, David Wuch- ner. A private family service was conducted at Bech- er-Kluesner Funeral Home in Jasper. DANIEL E. WOODALL Daniel E. Woodall, 90, of Lenoir City, Tenn., former- ly of Petersburg, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2016. He was a proud W WII vet- eran of the U.S. Army. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Jesse Woodall and several siblings. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Dorothy Jean (Cox) Woodall; children and spouses, Gary and Larissa Woodall, Maureen and Ste- phen Bryant, and Sherril and Kevin Carter; nine grandchil- dren;10 great-grandchildren; a sister, Iola Willis, of South Carolina; and many nieces and nephews. MARY CAROLYN CORN Mary Carolyn Corn, 83, of Petersburg, passed away at 7:40 p.m., on Thursday, Nov. 10, 2016, at Memorial Hospi- tal and Health Care Center in Jasper. She was born Jan. 1, 1933, in Wheatland, to Bryan and Eva (Bullard) Hill, and was united in marriage to Don- ald Raymond Corn on Feb. 3, 1952, in Otwell. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Ray- mond Corn, who passed away on March 23, 2008; and two sisters, Margie Scott and Jackie Junkin. She is survived by three sons, James ( Janna) Corn and Bryan Corn, both of Pe- tersburg, and Duane Corn, of Lexington, Ky; four brothers, Bob Hill, of Indianapolis, Jer- ry Hill and John Hill, both of Winslow, and Larry Hill, of Washington; six grandchil- dren; and two great-grand- children. Graveside services were at 2 p.m., EST, on Sunday, Nov. 13, 2016, at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Velpen, with Rev. Lowell Thomas offici- ating. He was born on Feb. 4, 1954, in Louisville, Ky., to A. Kenneth Sr. and Laverne (Byerly) Camden. He is survived by his fa- ther, Kenneth (Erma) Cam- den, of Lakeland, Fla.; five children, Belinda (Havi- er) Ayala, of Jasper, Brian (Kate) Camden, Jr., of Princ- eton, Bobby ( John) Fromme, of Huntingburg, David (Crys- tal) Camden, of Winslow, and Danielle Camden, of Mt. Car- mel, Ill.; 13 grandchildren; and four great-grandchil- dren. He was preceded in death by his mother, Laverne, in 1995; and two brothers, Al- len K. Camden, Jr. and Craig William Camden. KIMBERLY K AY ADKINS Kimberly Kay (Boger) Ad- kins, 56, of Bicknell, passed away on Monday, Nov. 7, 2016, at Good Samaritan Hos- pital in Vincennes. She was born July 21, 1960, in Washington, the daughter of Kenneth and Mary (Black- burn) Boger. She married Randy Adkins on May 12, 1979. She worked at a home daycare, Walmart and Head Start. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, where she was also the former Re- lief Society President, and she taught several different classes in the church. Kim- berly was best known for her involvement in Girl Scouts. Surviving are her hus- band, Randy; daughters, Mary (Toby) Heslop, of Og- den, Utah, and Amanda Ad- kins, of Bicknell; son, Randy Keith Adkins, of St. George, Utah; nine grandchildren; a sister, Denise Anderson, of Clearwater, Fla.; and a broth- er, Larry Boger, of Cayuga, Ind. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother; and two sisters. Funeral services were Sat- urday, Nov. 12, 2016, at 10 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Vincennes. JOHN PAT OT T John Pat Ott, 80, of Fran- cisco, died Nov. 9, 2016, at St. Mary's Medical Center in Evansville. He was born on June 30, 1936, in Francisco, to How- ard and Ada Ott. He was a member of Francisco General Baptist Church, where he served as a trustee. He drove a truck for N and S Trucking. He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers; and one sister. He is survived by a daugh- ter, Nedra (Harold) Cadle, of Hephzibah, Ga.; a broth- er; Jerry Ott, of Francisco; a sister, Rosemary Krieg, of Princeton; seven grandchil- dren; and four great-grand- children. He was born on Sept. 21, 1942, in Lafayette, Ind., to Edward I. and Virginia (Ayers) Cain. He had worked for the State of Indiana Highway Dept. for 17 and a half years at Centerville, Ind. He was a member of the First Chris- tian Church in Evansville. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Re- becca Lou Cain. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Cathy (Books) Cain, of Mackey; a son, Josh- ua Dale Edward (Sarah) Cain, of Lafayette, Ind.; and a sister, Sue Ellen (Kenn) Hardley, of Naples, Fla. Funeral services will be Saturday, Nov. 19, 2016, at 3 p.m. at Lamb-Basham Memo- rial Chapel in Oakland City, with Rev. Kendall Bopp offi- ciating.
