AMIEE WHITE BEAZLEY Amiee White Beazley is an award-winning travel journalist whose work has been featured in the Washington Post, Robb Report, Wine Enthusiast, and Coastal Living. Her weekly "Escape Artist" column has taken Beazley from the lakes of Italy to the vineyards of Bordeaux, the biking routes of Croatia to the Scottish Highlands. For this issue, she took a look inside the home of Michael and Sabrina Rudin (page 156). What kind of interior design are you seeing around town? A lot of eclectic looks inspired by travel. It's not about fluid design but rather a story of passions, adventures, and lives well-lived, told through art, rugs, and other artifacts from around the world. What's your favorite view in town? On a weekday morning, after hiking up Tiehack with my husband and dog, the reward is Pyramid Peak dressed in the early morning sun. You can't beat it. DOUGLAS BROWN Now a partner in two PR firms, Contact High Communications and Bruno RedStar, Boulder- based writer Douglas Brown has covered politics, business, technol- ogy, and more for myriad newspapers and maga- zines, and was a feature writer covering food at the Denver Post for 10 years. He took a tour around booming Denver for this issue's "Mile High and Rising" (page 80). Where do you hang your hat in Denver? I love the food and vibe at Work & Class, the drinks and ambiance at Terminal Bar in Union Station (I call Terminal Bar my Denver office), City Park, and Tattered Cover Book Store in LoDo. Which are your favorite CO spirits and beers? I go ape for Leopold Bros. Aperitivo, a bitter aperitif similar to Campari, minus the red dyes and artificial ingredients. I also dig the ciders crafted by Stem Ciders in Denver. Beer? I do love Avery Brewing's selection of sour beers. 306 South Mill Street . Aspen, CO 81611 . 970.920.0000 www.covetaspen.com
