If anyone can bring the trend back, though, it's chic boutique owner Ikram Goldman, who has fallen head over heels for this season's collection by New York-based Yestadt Millinery. "Everybody's making a baseball cap or a wool cap," Goldman notes, "but [designer Molly Yestadt] is doing these funny, stylish hats that you can wear all the time and never have to take off—it's not just a hat that you put on for the moment or just to go outside. And there's a real sense of whimsy and fun in the idea that there would be eyelashes or eyes or lips on top of your head. I see someone wearing these hats as if they were putting on a pair of earrings or a piece of jewelry.
