Gypsum brings the strength and durability of plas- ter into a modern drywall. Incredibly strong, Habito drywall is not only able to stand up to extreme abuse, but it's also able hold an incredible amount of weight, up to 30 pounds on a single wood screw. This new drywall eliminates the need to find a stud or install a wall anchor, and makes decorating and redecorating incredibly easy. It's particularly handy for today's modern lifestyle where televisions, speakers, pictures and shelves are mounted on the wall. Of course, these more refined and stronger building technologies are only part of the story of why homes are now built better than ever. If you want to learn more and get inspired for your next construc- tion or remodeling project, visit HanginWithHabito.com for more information on their revolutionary drywall product. And the next time someone says "they just don't build them like they used to," you'll say that's a good thing. Building Better continued from page 2 Did you know? Eco-friendly real estate trends are growing in popularity, as more and more home buy- ers are looking for ways to protect the planet and reduce the often considerable costs associated with home ownership. In a survey of more than 1,000 consumers in the United States, SurveyMonkey.com, working in conjunction with Blueshift Research, found that 1 in 3 consumers pre- fer eco-friendly products, and 35 percent are willing to spend more money on prod- ucts that are good for the environment. Such trends are reflected in the real indus- try, where many buyers are looking for tinier homes that produce smaller carbon footprints. According to the National Association of Home Builders, the average new home in 2015 was expected to be roughly 2,200 square feet. That's roughly 10 percent smaller than the average new home built in 2010. Smaller homes con- sume less energy, which appeals to home- owners looking to save money and live more eco-friendly lifestyles. In addition to smaller homes, homeowners are increas- ingly looking to sustainable materials when building or renovating their homes. Products that conserve water, including low-flow toilets and water-conserving showerheads, have also grown in populari- ty. TF15B695
