LITTER CLEanuP
e spring weather was picture-perfect for the
big sweep, otherwise known as the annual Great
Harrisburg Litter Cleanup. For a fourth straight year,
folks grabbed bags and donned gloves to pick up and
haul away tons of trash in the Allison Hill, Midtown
and Uptown neighborhoods. Does your city look a
little tidier than it did just a few weeks ago? You can
thank the hundreds of volunteers who participated in
this citywide spring-clean.
THE HbG FLEa
It's only been happening since late last year, but already
the HBG Flea has become an institution in Harrisburg.
Held the first Saturday of each month in the Capitol
Room at H*MAC, the HBG Flea brings together
dozens of vendors with hundreds (thousands?) of
eager browsers and buyers. Being in Midtown, artsy,
vintage and handmade products predominate, but you'll
find everything from pottery and ceramics to soaps,
jewelry and clothing. e next HBG Flea is May 7.
