'Room' captivates audience 'WordBubbles' You will have no regrets reading this! Brianna Zotea Staff Writer '10 Cloverfield Lane' amuses e 'Maze Runner' series 'The Maze Runner' pentalogy Series contains five books that lead to one another with the moral value of wanting to escape from the dreaded maze that the characters are helplessly trapped in. The author, James Dashner, has fans from all over the globe that love these science fiction adventure novels; with 6.5 million copies sold in total, this series has a been hit. The first book is titled 'The Maze Runner' (2009), the second book is 'The Scorch Trials'(2010), the third book is 'The Death Cure' (2011), the fourth book is 'The Kill Order'(2012), and the last book is 'The Fever Code' (2016). At this point in time, there are two movies so far that the director, Wes Ball, has made. 'The Maze Runner' movie was released on September 19, 2014, and 'The Scorch Trials 'movie on September 16, 2015. In the first book, it is a story of a teenage boy named Thomas who is sent to an unknown location where he joins a group of castaway boys trapped in an unsolvable maze with no adult figures to look up to. A s T h o m a s l e a r n s the rules/ r o p e s a b o u t life in their safe h a v e n , a l s o known as the Glade, and the threats that live within the maze, he realizes that he was sent there for a specific duty- to be one of the runners whose job is to crack the mystery of the maze and lead the Gladers to their freedom. As time moves on, and the boys solve mysteries along with hearing shocking news, this eventually leads to the second book. In 'The Scorch Trials,' the Gladers get rescued by a company called 'WICKED' (World in Catastrophe Kill zone Experiment Department- I think that is the coolest acronym ever), and they think they are safe, but they soon come to learn that there is something v e r y a w f u l stopping them from reaching safety. In my opinion, Thomas' character develops more courage in the second book, and more concrete questions are answered as well. Throughout this crazy adventure, the boys, well the ones that are left, learn who to trust along with realizing how they got themselves in this chaotic situation to begin with. With that being said, 'The Death Cure' movie is coming out February 17, 2017, so save the date because tickets will sell fast since the past two movies were such a great hit to America; James Dashner needs to keep it up with these exciting novels! However, I would recommend you to read the books beforehand if you want everything to make sense. Once you pick the books up, you won't want to put them down. Boredom is not an option. "...read the books beforehand if you want everything to make sense." 'Room' is an amazing story about a mother, played by Brie Larson, and a son, played by Jacob Tremblay, overcoming one of the hardest possible obstacles, escaping an abusive captor. Ma was captured as a teen, and she was abused on every level. Her abuse led to her pregnancy with Jack, her son. The movie starts on Jack's birthday, and it lapses through a plethora of time. It is a drama film that was first released February 4, 2016, and it is rated R for sexual content, violence, language, and alcohol/drug use. I read the book that goes to this movie, and I could not wait for the movie to come out. 'Room' is captivating; it takes ahold of it's audience, and it does not let go by any means. It is a little slow, and sort of boring in the beginning, but it does fix itself after approximately thirty or so minutes. This movie is a must-see, and a rewatch. I rented it one night, and woke up the next day to watch it again. It is available on Redbox as of now, but it is not yet on Netflix. The story told by 'Room' is so unique; the idea is based off of a true event, but not written to one. It is a real plot that actually has happened, but an imaginary story. 'Room' is one hour and fifty-eight minutes long, so it is on the shorter side. It may make you cry just because it is a sad movie plot; the movie strongly compares to the novel, but they did leave out so many key pieces. I do recommend reading the book first, but no matter what you do first, it is such a great film. There is also a lot of big name actors and actresses in the movie, like William Macy (Grandpa), Sean Bridger (Old Nick), and Brie Larson (Ma). I was amazed at how well all these actors did. Especially in such a hard role; to act like that would be so very taxing on you. '10 Cloverfield Lane,' a PG-13 movie, was directed by Dan Trachtenberg, produced by J. J. Abrams, and was released in the United States on March 11, 2016. This film stars Brie Larson as Joy "Ma" Newsome and Jacob Tremblay as her son Jack Newsome; this came out February 4, 2016. Fun game and suitable for children www.polygon.com 'WordBubbles' is a game that is created by Apprope. This game is developed out of Sweden. This is rated E for everyone. 'WordBubbles' is a puzzle game, it strongly resembles a crossword puzzle. This game has some differences from a regular crossword puzzle. One of these differences includes that you do not have to connect the words in a straight line, in fact, the lines are mostly whimsical patterns and are usually never straight. There are over four hundred levels and they go from easy to medium to difficult to extremely difficult. This game is called 'WordBubbles' probably because the letters are in bubbles and you have to connect the bubbles to make a word. This game is available on Android and iOS. I played 'WordBubbles' on an Android processor and it ran pretty easy. This app is free on both the Google Play Store and the Apple Store. The only bad thing about this game is that you have to make the exact words they want you to make. Even if the letters you connected make a real word it will still tell you to try again because there are specificwords that the games wants you to make. There is an extremely eccentric theme to this game. The colors are a sort of pastel and very light making it easy to see in the dark, so as to not strain your eyes. Although I did not really like the way the game worked I did enjoy that it kept me entertained and kept me guessing. I also liked how it kept my brain focused and kept it working. I felt refreshed after playing 'WordBubbles.' Being awake at night and having a restless mind and not being able to sleep is really hard. By playing 'WordBubbles' at night it tired my mind and helped me sleep. With every level you pass you can get a free hint. Also you would get free daily hints. Another way to get hints is you can buy the hints. You could also watch a video to get a free hint or a free set of hints. The hints consist of giving you one letter to help you figure out the word. Usually the first letter they give you is the first letter of the word they want you to find. 'WordBubbles' is a very different idea of a word puzzle. A word puzzle keeps it specifically straight up and down or across. With 'WordBubbles' you get the idea of all around words in different patterns. I recommend this game for anyone who finds word searches and crossword puzzles fun. This game is probably suitable for any age and might be useful for younger kids. I like this game. '10 Cloverfield Lane' is a Fantasy/Mystery movie about how a women having to fight for her survival against aliens and humans. After waking up from a terrible car accident, Michelle (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) finds herself chained inside a underground bunker with two men named Howard (John Goodman) and Emmett (John Gallagher, Jr.). Howard tells her that she has to stay with him because there was a massive chemical attack that has made the air unbreathable. Even though the bunker is just like any regular home, Michelle wants to escape it because she doesn't believe Howard, and Howard has a controlling and menacing personality. After being able to do things her own way, Michelle finally finds out about the truth about the outside world. With the amazing directing from Dan Trachtenberg, John Goodman was able to give out an outstanding performance that makes him really seem like a stalker and a serial killer psycho if you just met him. He acts just like a crazy, old, pervert that is extremely desperate for someone to love him. It makes you grow a strong love for Michelle because you want her to get away from someone like Howard, so she can survive. The movie just didn't have amazing acting from John Goodman, it also had amazing acting from Mary Elizabeth Winstead that made it really seem like she is actually having a struggle to get away from Howard and his craziness. John Gallagher, Jr. also did a really good job acting as Emmet. This made him look like the protagonist that is trying all he can to stop Howard and help Michelle escape from his grasp, and he also acts as a big brother for Michelle taking the blame for her and standing up for her whenever needed. The movie was released on March 11, 2016, so you will still have time to be able to see it. It was given a 90/100 from Rotten Tomatoes and a 8/10 from IMDb, so it is obviously a good movie if you still don't believe my opinion. It was an outstanding movie and I recommend it to everyone. stimulates and charms players differs from other books viewers with strong acting Gabriel Hale Staff Writer www.slate.com
