Each February, the Millennium Music Conference
warms up the Harrisburg area with a weekend full
of music, seminars and speakers. is year, more than
30 venues hosted about 300 acts, with artists playing
everything from rock to jazz, from acoustic to hip-
hop to funk. Many popular music spots participated,
including the Millworks, Cornerstone Coffeehouse,
the Abbey Bar, H*MAC, Zeroday Brewing, River
City Blues Club and Midtown Scholar Bookstore
(pictured).
3Rd IN THe BuRg
Harsh winter weather took a break last month just in
time to accommodate fans of Harrisburg's monthly
arts event. e Governor's Residence opened for its
first 3rd in the Burg, with other highlights including
a reception for "e Burg 2" exhibit at Gallery@
Second and the opening of "e Pennsylvania
Impressionists" at the Susquehanna Art Museum. In
addition, hundreds of musicians fanned out at venues
throughout Harrisburg as part of the Millennium
Music Conference.
