"Amazing game for cat lovers everywhere." Page 5 January 22, 2016 Arts and Entertainment "It was alright, but not worth my money" Gabriel Hale Staff Writer Amy Becerra Staff Writer Julissa Villalobos Features Editor Trinity Stehno Staff Writer "Good game and long lasting play." "It was an outstanding movie, and I give it a five out of five stars." Predictable plot of 'The Forest' Some movies don't live up to our expectations, especially horror films. The Forest is definitely among all of the movies that have failed to impress me. This horror movie takes place in the famous, Aokigahara Forest in Japan, where "lost people go to commit suicide." So, the main character Sara, is a young American woman who also has a twin sister. One night Sara receives a call from a Japanese policeman who informs her that her sister is probably dead since she was last seen heading into the Aokigahara Forest. She refuses to believe that her sister is dead since they share a spiritual connection and she would just know if her sister was truly dead. Sara decides to pack her bags, leave her husband and take a plane straight to Japan. I see three things wrong with this situation. First off, what kind of husband would let his wife visit an unknown country, with no sense of direction and zero understanding of the Japanese language? Why would he let her go alone when an American in a million Japanese people easily stands out?? Most important of all, why in the world would he let her hike into a haunted forest known for its high suicide rates??? It's like he intentionally wanted her to get lost and killed. Either that, or he just couldn't give two. Fifteen minutes into the movie, and I already had a feeling that she would end up dead in a ditch somewhere. Anyway, she meets this American guy at a bar and he invites her to hike into the forest alongside the forest guide, Michi. Sara agrees because, you know, you should always trust a stranger in a foreign country. I mean it's not like he could be a crazy killer who lures women into the forest with his good looks or anything. Seven hours into their hike, they coincidentally find an old yellow tent and it actually turns out to be Jess's. Sara is ecstatic and when Michi says it's time to turn back, she stupidly refuses. 'The Forest' was released on January 8, 2016 directed by Jason Zada and starred Natalie Dormer, Eoin Macken and Stephanie Vogt. 'The Revenant' excites viewers 'Plague Incorporated' is a mobile game for IOS, Android, and Windows smart phones originally released May 26, 2012 based on strategy and simulation. The general idea of the game is to create and evolve a bacterial disease until it destroys all of humanity. As you play you gain more points to help unlock bet- ter traits that will allow you to make your illness more le- thal, severe, or contagious, but you must complete the game before the scientists, your en- emy, can come up with a cure to reverse all your hard work. 'Plague Inc.' was cre- ated by Ndemic Creations, a one man developer. I have been playing the game nearly since it came out, and it is entertaining to say the least. You can name your plague anything you choose, choose your difficulty level and your ill- ness type, then you start the fun. I play it while I am wait- ing in doctors off-ices, and I play in the car or just to pass the time at home. 'Plague Inc.' is one of my all-time favorite mo- bile games ever made. You can change what state you release disease free in, and you adjust it to flourish in the environment there, then you modify it to spread quickly and qui- etly while saving your points. Lastly, you go all out and build up the deadliness of the disease, and cross your fin- gers until you win the game. I feel that there is a lot of po- tential to easily unlock and buy new settings and features to fur- ther help your plague. The game does not require Wi-Fi and can be played on the go. It is simple enough that your five-year- old sibling can enjoy it, and it is baby- sitting done the easy way, but requires enough strat- egy that as a mid-teen you will enjoy the game too. I believe the only draw- back to the game is that it is incredibly addictive, and once you have played it once you never want to put it down. 'The Revenant' is a true story, action packed movie about a legendary explorer trying to survive in the uncharted American Wilderness. After a gruesome grizzly bear attack he was left to die by his own hunting team and has to fend for himself in a vicious below 0 degree winter while dealing with unimaginable grief. Hugh Glass (Leonardo DiCaprio) was part of a fur trading expedition in 1820 that took an abrupt change after the Native Americans from the Pawnee tribe started hunting them down for taking the tribe's leaders daughter. While dealing with the pain and the Indians, Hugh has to deal with the betrayal of his confidant John Fitzgerald (Tom Hardy) and Jim Bridger (Will Poulter). He is determined to stay alive, so he can get revenge and redemption on John and Jim for the love of his family that has died. The movie was directed by Alejandro González Iñárritu. The movie had such great acting from Leonardo DiCaprio that he received the Golden Globe shortly after the movie and is "Plague Inc. is one of my all time favorite mobile games ever made." 'Neku Atsume' satisifies cat lovers with feline game Everyone is obsessed with cats. There is no one in this world who doesn't fantasize about owning millions of cats. While the mess and the cost of that will drive you away from the plan of doing it, you can still have almost the same experience with 'Neko Atsume: Cat Collector'. This amazing app lets you collect tons of cats by putting out toys, cat sized buildings, and all kinds of food in the backyard provided to you. Cats don't start visiting your backyard until you close the game and wait for a bit. The longer you wait, the more cats visit your backyard. Don't even think about fast forwarding the clock on your phone because the game pauses and makes the cats go away until the hours that you fast forwarded are up. You also have to refill your food bowl because they won't come if they don't get fed. You will surely become addicted to this game, checking in every 10-20 minutes. This game has consumed my life. It is so satisfying to see the cute little fur balls playing with a ball of yarn or crawling through toilet paper rolls. There are the normal common cats like Snowball, Patches, and Socks, and then there are the special little cuties like Tubbs, Joe DiMeowgio, and Mr. Meowgi, to name a few. You get these rare cats by buying and setting certain items and food. You might have to wait a couple of days before they start visiting, but it's worth the wait. These cats give you way more fish than the common ones, and they have a higher chance of giving you goldfish after they leave. As you get further into the game, you start getting mementos from the cats. The mementos symbolize the bond you have made with Neko Atsume: Cat Collector was developed by Hit-Point and was first released on October 20, 2014. Although I do not enjoy the game set to its slowest speed during game play, I do like the fact that there is an option to speed up or pause the game at any given point in time. The game automati- cally saves for you, and leaves you without a worry. Some people might not like 'Plague Inc.' because they sim- ply cannot beat it or do not like the concept of killing people, but all the ratings are super high, and there is nothing not to love. blogocio.eleconomista.es leaves viewers disappointed the cat. 'Neko Atsume: Kitty Collector' makes you feel like you actually own lots of cats. Nothing else will ever make you as happy as this app does. now being called a legend. The movie is rated R for strong frontier combat and violence including gory images, a sexual assault, language and brief nudity, so you will have to watch the movie with an adult. It is a very long two hours and thirty-six minute movie so you better empty your bladder before you watch it. It was released on January 8, 2016 worldwide, so you will still have enough time to watch it before it comes out of theaters. The movie had an estimated $135 million budget and it tracked a $2.3 million the very first day it came out, so it was very popular movie and the people who watched the movie said they loved it. Over 79,874 professional reviews gave the movie an outstanding four out-of five stars or an 8.3 out-of 10. This is Sara's ultimate mistake as it leads her into many horrible situations. As you would also expect, the creepy, yet good looking, American also stays with her. As it starts getting darker, they start hearing alarming noises just on the outskirts of their little campsite. If I were either of them, I would be regretting every life decision I have ever made that lead me up to this moment. To be honest, I was thinking about another horror movie, called The Boy, throughout The Forest just because it was that lame of a movie. I was kept thinking that if I was watching The Boy, I wouldn't have wasted money. It also had a very predictable plot and I felt as though I had already seen something like it before. www.techly.com.au 'Plague Inc.' entertains gamers
