3rD IN ThE Burg
People streamed from place to place to view art, hear
music and enjoy great food during 3rd in the Burg, which
celebrates the best of Harrisburg each month. e State
Museum had Halloween fun, Little Amps featured the
music of Rivers, and the LGBT Center and Historic
Harrisburg teamed up for a retrospective of the works of
costume designer Paul Foltz, among many other events.
In all, about 30 venues participated throughout downtown
and Midtown Harrisburg.
DEckED OuT
Artists used skateboards as their medium during
Decked Out, a collaborative art exhibit and auction
featuring six galleries from central PA. e third
annual fundraiser was held in the Bond of York,
where 150 hand-painted, collaged and manipulated
skate decks were auctioned off. Food, music, family
activities and cocktails rounded out the event.
Proceeds benefitted the participating art galleries,
including e Millworks in Harrisburg, and Reid
Menzer Memorial Skate Park in York.
