Heat after heat of runners took off down Front Street for
the annual Harrisburg Mile. e race began at Maclay
Street and ended at Boas Street, after which sprinters
and slowpokes alike enjoyed a party in Riverfront Park.
Fortunately, the sunny, dry weather was perfect for the
race, drawing thousands of participants, as well as the
supporters who cheered them on.

A large, enthusiastic and diverse crowd packed into
tiny Atlas Street to debut the city's newest mural—
several vibrant panels that feature neighborhood
children. e mural, designed by Harrisburg artist
Ralphie Seguinot and sponsored by Sprocket Mural
Works, is painted on the new home of Recycle
Bicycle, located on the alley's 2200-block. In addition
to the mural, the block party featured food, music
and great community conversation. It also showed off
Green Urban Initiative's Atlas Street Garden, which
was in its mid-summer glory.
