The Dialogue We want to hear from you. Visit vegasinc.com to post comments to stories. On Dave Berns' Jan. 23 VEGAS INC story on MGM's interest in Massachuesetts ("MGM signs property deal for Massachusetts casino proposal"): I think the tax rate for Nevada casinos should match Massachusetts' tax rates and fix our education system. -newnvres (Ben Lambert) On Ric Anderson's Jan. 23 VEGAS INC story on Gordon Ramsay's new venture in Las Vegas ("Ramsay to open new steak restaurant this spring at Paris"): This is great. I love that show Kitchen Nightmares. Can't wait to try the food. But if the food is bad, I would love to tell him "this food is horrendous. It is the worst food I've ever had. I'm surprised anyone comes here. You should be totally ashamed of yourself." LOL -JustinMc (Justin McAffee) I've enjoyed many of his restaurants and know he'll have great success in this town. I hope Ramsey's opinion of Vegas being a foodie haunt continues to draw other famous chef's. As far as great restaurants, there are more within walking distance of each other than any other city I know of in the world. -VeganLover (Tim Hopkins) This is fabulous news! Chef Ramsey has developed "his brand" very well and brings with him a mystique that will most certainly draw dedicated "Foodies" from all over the globe to Las Vegas. Viva Chef Ramsey! May you enjoy great success here. We anxiously await! -staralioflundnv (Star Ali Mistriel- Kogan) Massachusetts also has a personal income tax on everyone that lives or works in their state, should Nevada impose that also? -vegaslee On Steve Green's Jan 23 VEGAS INC story on foreclosures ("2011 another awful year for foreclosures in Nevada and Las Vegas"): Meanwhile, the auto signature scandal winds down. A few flunkies get the boot and the big guys go to Aruba with their bonuses. This is the direct result of government fostered disaster started in congress and sustained by the present and past two presidents, who signed bills they should have contested. Let's be Frank and note that some legislators got rich off the situation as did their significant others. Barney (not the dinosaur) and a few other DINO/RINO pals have a nice retirement partially funded by his "(open) secret friend's" actions while in charge of an agency that ripped the heart out of the U.S. market. People lose houses and now speculators buy up the houses for rentals, while protected by their political pals. Thus, destroying the common people chance to get in on cheap houses. -Malous (Dennis Hill) "That drop is largely attributed to new legislation requiring banks to provide extra documentation in foreclosure paperwork. This caused what analysts say was only a temporary slowdown in foreclosure activity in the fourth quarter." Shocking. You mean banks have to legally prove that they are taking people's houses? They just can't "do it". Wow, what kind of socialist country are we living in? This housing mess will continue to make news for a few more years. Get used to it. -sounddude (Clinton Hermann) On Richard N. Velotta's Jan. 17 vegasinc. com story on Southwest Airlines ("Southwest touts new seating as more comfy, but what will passengers think?"): Good spin by Southwest, but doesn't this mean we're losing an inch in legroom? Having recently flown Spirit for the first and last time, I'll take it. Southwest is clearly the best domestic carrier, but I hope the extra row of seats is thanks to thinner seats and not less legroom. -snyderm (Matthew Snyder) I took Southwest last week from Ft. Myers, Fla. to Chicago Midway and it's just as good as five years ago when I went to Orlando. The plane was sold out and all seats filled. They are my No. 1 choice when I fly. -dipstick (Dennis Williams) The seats need to be more comfortable since they will now fly nonstop from Las Vegas to Atlanta. I'm not sure about the legroom, but still the best flight available. -askmrmark (Mark Anthony) Pick 'Em Power Lunch Vegas then ? ? ? ? ? ! The innovator Pick 'Em ANSWER THIS!
