Sabina Manzini Resource Books for Foster Children 2011 Gold Award Recipient Sabina discovered that more than 3,000 children in the Nevada foster care system had no comprehensive resource to guide them through the system. Sabina worked with lawyers from the Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada to produce a resource booklet to empower foster care children, ages 11-18, to understand their rights and take action. The Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada will be distributing copies of Sabina's booklet. She's Imagine Shelby Mass Bullying Awareness 2011 Gold Award Recipient Shelb y recognized the impact bullying was having on her community as the number of children affected by bullying continues to climb. Shelby felt education was critical to provide children with the tools to identify, understand, and solve bullying problems. Shelby created and mailed a bullying awareness brochure to more than 1,000 youth in the radKIDS program and distributed through the Juvenile Justice Center and Clark County School District. bio will look like? accomplished so much Jessaca found a need in her community to support parents of children admitted into local hospitals.
