Located at 130 Sir Francis Drake Blvd., the store debuted with multiple events to welcome residents to the Armstrong Garden Centers family. "The warm reception we have received from the community is truly overwhelming," said Marshall Dandar, Armstrong Garden Centers, San Anselmo, manager. "We are eager and ready to provide San Anselmo and Ross Valley with solutions and tips for outdoor projects of any size." Armstrong Garden Centers, a full-service garden center, offers an extensive product selection that includes annual and perennial flowers, vegetables, herbs, cactus and succulents, lifestyle décor, pottery and patio furniture, along with shrubs and trees. Many items are California grown, as Armstrong Garden Centers grows most of its annual flowers, vegetables and herbs. The San Anselmo store also offers a variety of services from landscape design and installation to garden consultations. As water restrictions go into effect statewide, Armstrong Garden Centers offers a waterwise plant selection that goes well beyond cactus and succulents to include an extensive selection of landscape shrubs. In fact, the store can help local residents reduce their outdoor watering by 25 percent and even offers waterwise home consultations. Customers are able to minimize their water usage with rain barrels and lawn alternatives like artificial grass. Armstrong Garden Centers specializes in waterwise landscape design services to save water now and in the future and even shares helpful information on its website. Many former Sunnyside Nursery employees are now employee-owners of Armstrong Garden Centers, San Anselmo. This means that customers will see many friendly faces and receive the same quality service and expertise that they have come to expect in Marin County. Gardeners, landscapers and aspiring green thumbs who shop at Armstrong Garden Centers can receive advice from the company's many California Certified Nursery Professionals who are approved by the California Association of Nurseries and Garden Centers. Upcoming free classes will be offered for novices through experts to expand their gardening knowledge and learn how to be more successful with gardening projects. The San Anselmo store marks the third location for Armstrong Garden Centers in Northern California.
