I receive a lot of questions about edible flow-
ers, and believe it or not, there are more avail-
able than you would think.
Remember though, only eat those flowers
that you know are edible (never assume all
flowers are edible), never eat ones that have
been sprayed with chemicals (go organic) and
always wash them before using.
Use the petals only from flowers, no stamens
or pistils, unless it's a viola or Jonny-jump-up.
Another exception would be the stamens (saf-
fron) from the fall flowering crocus.
Also, if you have allergies or digestive
issues, always be careful, and introduce them
slowly into your diet.
