Page 4 May 29, 2015 Newsworthy Seniors Steven Weightman plans on joining the Military. He has always felt called to serve, and he is happy and fulfilled Knowing he is following his calling. Kyle Ottsman is planning on going to into the mili- tary to become a pilot, he has always wanted to fly and defend his country. Leonardo Garcia plans on serving in the army, he is not choosing to do so not only to serve his country but to better himself, and if he is eligible to enlist I would feel pride and joy to be able to serve. Jordaan Roberts plans on helping his family for a year or two then enlisting in either the navy or the marines, because his parents work almost 24/7 and because he has always planned on joining the mili- tary for some time now, and it makes him feel good. Bailey Akins plans on going to Simpson universi- ty on a full ride scholarship to play softball, she is choosing to do so because the campus is beautiful and the softball team is one big family with supe- rior talent, and it makes her feel super excited to meet new people and create new memories. Greg Espinosa is planning on serving on a church mission for two years starting Septem- ber 16th in upper state New York, Utica. His brothers have all served all over the world and he wants to learn how to serve, and become an active citizen in his community, he is happy that he can see a part of America where it all started, and he will have a lot of neat experi- ences. Trevor Brockman is planning on going straight into Shasta College's welding program. He is choosing to do so because welding is what he wants to do as a career, and it would make him feel accomplished. Olga Valladares plans on going to Simpson Uni- versity and major in Business, she wants to get the education to get a job later in life that pays well, and she is excited and can't wait to see what college life is like and how well she can be inde- pendent. Carl Miller plans on becoming a forestry and nature resources major with teaching credentials, because he has met several teachers that have done things like this and they have inspired him to become an AG teacher. It makes him feel like he can have an impact on a students life like the teachers have had on his.
