50-MILe FeSTIvAL
e Broad Street Market kicked off its 2015 festival season
with the 50-Mile Festival, a celebration of local farms,
businesses and artists. Shoppers and lookers checked out
area agricultural producers and vendors who offered a
variety of organic and natural goods. Simultaneously, the
Odd Ones Bizarre brought together a couple dozen artists
and artisans selling their handmade creations, while local
band e Coalishun Blues Trio provided the soundtrack
for the day.
HYP HOMe TOuR
Italian Lake provided the scenic backdrop
for the annual Mother's Day weekend tour of
homes. About a dozen houses were open for the
17th annual event, the day wrapping up with
a party at Dixon University Center in Uptown
Harrisburg. Proceeds benefitted the HYP
Home in the City program, which provides
$1,000 grants to qualified HYP members to
purchase a home in Harrisburg.
