By: Lydia Gonzalez- D'Ross Citadel Housing Tech- nologies are going to "Raise the Roof " on the stage of Guthrie Green beginning the morning of Wednesday, May 13th to introduce Hope Restored International. We will build a model home that is designed for the residents of the Democratic Republic of Congo on the morning of May 13 and unveil it in time for you to eat lunch. Take advantage of Food Truck Wednesday, or bring your lunch and enjoy a few minutes of discussions on our housing solution, the status of the DRC and what you can do here in Tulsa. It's free, though donations are being accepted by Hope Res- tored International. Our world is facing a crisis...Over 827 Million people currently live in ur- ban slums. By 2020, that number could reach one bi- llion. For many years, mem- bers of Citadel Housing have been developing a solution to this world problem. One solution is ready to be unvei- led at Guthrie Green on May 13th in downtown Tulsa. CitadelHousing will de- monstrate the construction of a 500 s.f. (2 bedroom, 1 bath, outdoor kitchen) home designed for the re- sidents of the Democra- tic Republic of Congo. e home can be erected on any site in less than a day with a handful of unskilled labor. e home is highly energy efficient (R-20 walls, R-32 Roof) incredibly strong, affordable, water proof, air tight, mold resistant, flame resistant, insect resistant, seismic resistant, and can be designed to withstand Cat-5 hurricane winds. Hope Restored Interna- tional is a non-profit focu- sed on the education and rehabilitation of the citizens of DR Congo. Together with Citadel Housing, we hope to raise awareness to the plight that the citizens of the war- torn area are facing. It is our hope, together we can be- gin using this advanced yet simple technology to crea- te long lasting jobs, build homes, schools, hospitals, warehouses and shopping districts. By doing this we will build a better tomorrow. Look your best, as you may be caught on camera! Chilvarous Dead Produc- tions will be filming the event as part of its documen- tary to tell the true story of the Congolese People. It only takes one person to make a difference. YOU can be that person. Come out and support a local com- pany and a local mission that are determined to make an impact on the world... one person, one home at a time. Why is this important to the Tulsa Hispanic Com- munity? A few weeks ago, Citadel has launched a a His- panic Market campaign and spoke at the National His- panic Christian Leadership Conference to the National Board of Directors. Citadel is offering housing oppor- tunities to Hispanic families and rebuilding communities that need transformation. ese homes are brand new and the owners can actually watch how quickly they are being built. What is most effective is that the homes are for Hispanic/diversity families who have always dreamed of having a home of their own and now they can through CITADEL Hou- sing. CitadelHousing is a non-profit organization whose ideal candidates are those who were disapprove by banks or just don't have the credit to have a home of their own. NHCLC Board of Director member, Cha- plain Lydia D'Ross, has joi- ned forces with Oklahoma CITDADELHousing deve- lopment project to bring community leaders together and identify key families who would benefit from this program. Supporting the project development is City Council Jeannie Cue which has identified abandoned land that can be purchased by CitdaelHousing to build new homes in her district area. Other community lea- ders have come together as a committee and have brained stormed ideas that are now in action. e NHCLC and the Hispanic Community of Oklahoma applauds Dan Neufield, David Oberle and their team, for their vision in providing homes to tho- se families that have unmet needs in our multi-cultural of 77 languages of Oklaho- ma mosaic community. NHCLC and its 40,000 national members, Citadel- Housing Dan Neufield, Dave Oberle, Lucia Caballo-Ober- le, owner of Emerald Falls Development Corporation and Country Club, and Fred Minte of RIA, for their ex- traordinary leadership and partnership. For more information on how you can obtain your new home in the State of Oklahoma and help rebuild your community, please contact Citadel Housing Da- vid Oberle(918) 527-7097 or Dan Neufield. Mention that you heard about the project through El Nacional- Tulsa. TULSA
