Due to Delaney's generosity, Shelley Skelton and Jackie Umland's third grade classrooms at Manor received subscriptions to Kid Scoop News. Recently Delaney visited the school with Susan Miller, Sponsor Development Manager for Kid Scoop News, to deliver the new issue directly to the children. The response was electric – the students quickly dove right into reading. "It was great to see the kids react so immediately," Delaney said. Skelton was thrilled as she watched all of her students become absorbed in reading. Umland's students had an equally enthusiastic response. Kid Scoop News was started in Sonoma County in 2009 by Vicki Whiting, who taught third grade in the county for 25 years. Total circulation in Marin and Sonoma Counties is 16,000. Although 52 classrooms currently receive Kid Scoop News in Marin, there is still a great need for other generous sponsorships from the business community. For more information, please contact Susan Miller at 415-382-0989 or susan@kidscoopnews.com. To view a sample of Kid Scoop News, please visit KidScoopNews.com. La Loggia Turns Focus on Core Dinner Business La Loggia decided to end its breakfast and lunch service in order to concentrate more on their primary and popular evening dinner business. While we'll certainly miss the great coffee and service that this fine establishment provided in the morning and afternoon hours, we look forward to many more evenings of fine food and wine at this exemplary vinoteca.
