Regular exercise, both aerobic and strength building, helps the body repair itself and maintain or slow down the aging process. This allows people to spend more time doing the things they like, which leads to higher mental satisfaction and reduced medical bills. Studies report that people who exercise regularly and lead a healthy lifestyle are less likely to suffer bought's of depression, less likely to become sick and have fewer visits to the medical doctor. The concept of staying healthy extends to Chiropractic care. The majority of my practice is not people with pain, but with patients who know that an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. After getting hurt, waiting for medical appointments, running up large bills and still suffering, they have been around the block enough to finally realize that they are much happier when their problem is kept under control. They appreciate a doctor who will show them an alternative to endless medications and help them stay well, allowing them to take control of their lives instead of allowing their condition to cause tremendous problems. The majority of my patients are actually wellness patients, patients who visit me regularly to make sure their problem doesn't become severe. They have been down that road before, and found that it doesn't lead anywhere. They understand that not having to take medication for their problems, not having to have surgery and then therapy rehabilitation is a good thing. They are an informed patient who makes a conscious effort to understand their problem and are happy with occasional visits to the chiropractor because they know that the chiropractor helps them stay healthy and more active. If staying healthy with lower medical visits sounds like something you might be interested in, and are ready to learn how to improve your health, you should take the time to make an appointment.
