Learn what record collections are available through the database and start building your family tree in this small group instruction session. Please bring your own device if you have one; the library will also provide laptop computers to use during this session for those who do not have their own. Be sure to register through our electronic calendar for this class. Space is limited to four people. Depending on interest, future classes will likely occur. Artist in residence Michelle Savas Thompson Time: 11:45 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. Where: Cedarburg Cultural Center, W62 N546 Washington Ave., Cedarburg Michelle Savas Thompson will demonstrate her painting techniques. In addition, the artist will be teaching a number of youth workshops this fall, including "Painting from Photos for Kids" on Nov. 8 from 10 a.m. to noon, as well as a series of after- school art classes, titled "Draw2P8nt," which focuses on the process of drawing as an essential part of a good painting. The workshops are suitable for youth ages 6 to 12, or under 5 with an adult.
