"Our Arena's biggest
annual event is
the Pre-Round Up
Roping Competition,
which is held the day
before the Tehama
County Round Up,"
said Brewer. "Some
of the world's best team ropers compete here
for big prizes. The winning team takes home
$4,000 per person and they have fun."
Keeping things fun at the Roping Arena is
important to Brewer, both for the people
who compete there and for himself. Brewer
does not participate in the Wednesday night
competitions; however, he enjoys joining in
on the fun during the Monday night practices.
"It's my favorite day of the week," says
Brewer. "I get to do what I love in a non-
competitive environment with 20 to 30 other
people, and hang out with friends."
In addition to running the arena, Mike
supplies steers for team roping and sorting
events all over Northern California. He also
plans to continue competing on the rodeo
circuit. "I enjoy what I do, I am real lucky,"
said Brewer. "No one has it better than I do."
