anta Cruz County is a wonderful place to call home. From the shores of our coastline to the redwood forests, what's not to love? (Okay, maybe the traffic, but that's another story!) I'll take the cool foggy mornings giving way to a sunny afternoon anytime. We've got humpbacks in the Bay and eagles in the trees at UCSC. Even our food scene, from the local salmon to the dry farm tomatoes, offers so much abundance of life! I love living in our county and can't think of a better place to be selling real estate. We pay a good price to live where we do but it's certainly worth every penny. Every once in a while a great value comes along and this is one of them. Gary Drive is a fabulous street tucked away on the border of Capitola and Soquel. Although now geographically split by Highway 1, the town of Soquel and the City of Capitola share a common past, a history shaped in part by the natural watercourse that passes through and connects both settlements on its way from the mountains toward Monterey Bay. While there is great freeway access to Highway 1, the location at the end of the cul de sac, is quiet. Gayle's Bakery and shops are within walking distance as are Nob Hill and more shops and restaurants. Those more ambitious would find it easy to walk or bike to Capitola Village or the beach. This home is unique in that it has two master bedrooms, one conveniently located on the first floor. There's lot of room for everyone with 4 bedrooms and three full baths. The large spacious airy living room has a big window facing out to the street and a nice brick fireplace. The kitchen is also light and bright with views out to the front and back yards. The backyard itself is a sunny oasis with lots of room to garden and wonderful mature lemon, apricot, plum and apple trees. My time spent at the past open houses was pleasant.
