Due to a retirement, Modern Equipment Company in Port Washington, WI has an opportunity for the right person to join our Maintenance department. This is a first shift opening* and a highly desirable position! Whether you are at a dead end in your current maintenance role, or are on an off shift and would prefer first shift, we'd like to hear from you! The current maintenance person will stay on to help with training during the transition period. *(subject to change as business dictates). RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (But are not limited to): • Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems in the plant and office • Perform final assembly (piping and wiring) of systems on outgoing equipment as needed • Read and interpret machine electrical and mechanical drawings • Installation and/or relocation and modification of equipment and systems to meet production needs and schedules QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE (But are not limited to): • Ability to read and translate technical manuals • Ability to work independenly • Strong sense of urgency REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE (But are not limited to): • Minimum of a high school diploma and 5+ years of experience repairing and troubleshooting in pneumatics, hydraulics, overhead cranes, forklifts, hoists, motors, and industrial wiring. Experience with combustion air piping a plus. • Strong industrial electrical experience required • Good practical sense working with and troubleshooting equipment problems.
