He is the creator of "Power Erotic" - a documentary film that explores how power, dominance and masculinity influence human sexual- ity in general and gay male sexuality in particular. Lawrence was my guest on "Diversity Rules Magazine on the Air" on June 18th and had a great discussion about the film and other things dealing with male sexuality. We just experienced another great pride season, with pride events still continuing. is past year has been a remarkable one since the Supreme Court struck down the heart of the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA). Many states have passed marriage equality and many others have seen their bans on same sex marriage struck down by federal judges on the basis that they violate the equal protection clause of the US Constitution. It is just a matter of time before a case fil- ters its way up to the Supreme Court and marriage equality becomes the law of the land. Once that battle is won, however, we still have much work to do, as our de- tractors are already setting the stage of the next battle, denying service based on religious liberty. We all know that argument is bogus and will ultimately be decided in courts of law as well. We also cannot forget our transgender brothers and sisters, as they are not covered by many of the recently hard fought and won battles. eir quest for equality shall continue.
