April 4, 2014 • Milwaukee County Post • 7 Post Staff WEST ALLIS – Kohl's and the Wisconsin State Fair Park Foundation will continue their partnership with Kohl's Department Stores through Kohl's Cares, the company's philanthropic platform, according to a news release Wednesday. The renewed partnership will result in the fourth annual Kohl's Family Value Day on Monday, Aug. 4, at the Wisconsin State Fair. The event provides discounted admis- sion to fairgoers, the launch of the new Kohl's Activity Zone and the return of "Fair Day" at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin. "Kohl's is proud to help provide great value to Wisconsin families who attend the Fair on Kohl's Family Value Day, just as we provide value to our customers every day in our stores," said Michelle Gass, CEO. "We are thrilled to open Kohl's Activity Zone and are excited to provide even more local families access to hands-on, educa- tional programs from premier organiza- tions in Milwaukee." During Kohl's Family Value Day, all fair- goers will be eligible for discounted fair admission from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. Adults will receive admission for $5 (a 50 percent savings), and youths 11 and under will receive free admission (a $6 savings). New this year, the fair will open the Kohl's Activity Zone, a unique youth entertain- ment area that features fun and interactive activities for the entire family. "Our partnership with Kohl's Cares is extremely appreciated and allows us to offer a remarkable value to fairgoers on Kohl's Family Value Day. Kohl's Cares truly makes a difference for many families who visit the fair, and we look forward to continuing the partnership for the fourth consecutive year," Wisconsin State Fair CEO Rick Frenette said in a statement. www.kohls.com www.wistatefair.com Kohl's, State Fair renew partnership Dead body in Ixonia not missing Milwaukee woman By SARAH PRYOR Conley News Service TOWN OF IXONIA – Authorities are still working to identify a woman whose body was found in a Town of Ixonia corn- field over the weekend after autopsy results proved that she's not missing Milwaukee woman Kelly Dwyer. According to a press release from Jefferson County Sheriff Paul Milbrath, the body is described as a female younger than 50, with an approximate height of 4 feet, 10 inches to 5 feet, 5 inches, probably Caucasian, with dark hair and a tattoo on her right lower abdomen area and right wrist. She also had a facial stud piercing below her lower lip on the left side. Capt. Jerry Haferman said the woman's DNA profile will be entered into a national database in hopes of discovering her iden- tity. Anyone with information on the case should call the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office at 920-674-7360. According to a press release from the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office, a caller dialed 911 just before 12:30 p.m. March 29 after seeing something looking "out of the ordinary" a short distance off Highway CW. The caller decided to investigate, and ultimately discovered the dead woman's body. An autopsy on the decomposing remains was completed Monday, but no official cause of death was found, Jefferson County Coroner Patrick Theder told the Daily Jefferson County Union. He said every death investigation is treated as a homicide until that option is ruled out. The body was found about 50 to 60 feet into a harvested cornfield owned by John K. Rohrer, who rents the 40-acre parcel out to his son. Rohrer told the Daily Union that the corn in the field would've been harvest- ed in late November or early December and that he doesn't believe the body could've been placed there prior to that. The body reportedly was nude with the exception of sandals, and Theder said the body was in an advanced state of decompo- sition. He estimated that that it had been there at least a few months, although he noted that it would be difficult to calculate a more exact period due to the extreme cold winter, which could slow the decomposi- tion process.
