I love taking pleasure in the change of seasons; each brings a sense of change and new celebrations, but none speak to new beginnings like spring. Soon, the trees will bud and spring flowers will emerge. For some, it's a time to plan the summer flora and vegetable gardens; a time to make choices and to ready the earth for the bounty. For me, Spring gardening is a reminder to plant the seeds, tend the weeds and till the soil in garden of my soul. In- stead of rakes and shovels, the tools required are emotional awareness, responsible choice, intuition and trust in the Universe. Like a vegetable or flower garden, your inner soul requires constant care and maintenance. e more you un- derstand the importance of using the proper tools to tend to your mind, the more likely you are to create authen- tic power. When this becomes your priority, the rewards are bountiful; happiness and abundance become the harvest. e weeds will continue to show up, on a daily basis. ey're persistent, met with frustration and exaspera- tion. ey'll continue to grow and attempt to overtake your garden unless you take action. It requires vigilance and courage to tend to your inner garden. Emotional awareness requires paying attention to your thoughts and how they emerge as physical sensations in your body. Your emotions cause pain or pleasure. When a physical sensation is triggered from fear, you feel pain. e pain you feel, allows you to identify the fearful emotion, giving you the ability to be courageous and use responsible choice to act from a loving perspective instead of react- ing from fear. Your conscious choice creates happiness and abundance; instead of isolation and scarcity. Find the cour age to find your voice and face your fears, and you will feel them fade away. We don't know what the future holds. erefore, we don't know what choices to make to create happiness. Our great- est mistake is thinking we know. We create an en- vironment to protect us. However, in doing that, we imprison ourselves, and eventually find our efforts fail and the supposed safety was merely an illusion. We yearn for protection because we fear death. In fear- ing death, we forget to enjoy life. is life experience was intended as a wonderful adventure. It's possible to create heaven on earth, if you face your fear and make the journey to authentic power. Embrace the courage to face the unknown, have faith in your intuition, and trust in the Universe. Get outside of your comfort zone. e Universe always has your best inter- est at heart and will provide you with everything you need to create happiness and abundance. I tend to my inner garden daily, through meditation, yoga and e d u c a t i o n . I'm vigilant to watch over my thoughts and pull the weeds of fear that emerge. When I don't tend to my garden, the weeds grow rampant, and I find myself mishan- dling situations. When I'm not happy, I've been inattentive to my soul's garden. To learn more about creating authentic power, I suggest Gary Zukav's book, "Spiritual Partnership, e Journey to Authentic Power." It's very powerful. e longest journey and the most rewarding, is the path we take to go within. Keep up Now ~ with the stream of higher con- sciousness and stay connected to the Source. Keep Up Now By Terry Ludwig (c) Can Stock Photo Inc. / grsphoto "I am clear with knowledge not solely my own. My soul speaks freely and, in turn, not true to word or in times deed. Truth, not enough at times to pierce the veil of rea- son. Preconceptions of our world we fear to tread away from, for greater a truth we see ourselves to be. This fear, we fear, and so we cling close by as if on leash. A warden's pet, I say to you, our master, soon we'll meet. Illusions, they may comfort now, cling not close and choke the chain. We will not fall, but rise above what man has made his demi-gods. Spawn from fear, they serve our will, collectively, to break our fall. Great structures all, they're here to stay, but leave we will, more comfort still when God shall make another day…." - Rob Ludwig
