12 RED BLUFF 2011 Tehama District Fairground In late September the Tehama District Fair comes to life and gives locals a chance to share in the bounties of their agricultural efforts, artistic talents and community spirit. Events are scheduled Thursday through Sunday the week of the fair, and many choose to attend every day of the fair because there is so much to see and do. Just like any good fair, the Tehama District Fair started as a friendly contest between neighbors showing off the things they bake, animals they raised or crops they grew. Cotton candy, merry-go- rounds, diaper derbies and dancing pigs mark the events highlighted during the fair and Junior Livestock Auction.
