or Mill Valley resident and chef/restaurateur Roland Passot, half the fun of
cooking is foraging for his ingredients
in Marin's farmers markets. In particu-
lar the Marin Farmers Market at the Civic Center
on Thursdays and Sundays.
The French-born chef, who began
his career in the kitchens of Lyon
when he was just 15 and who
moved to the Bay Area in
1981, was one of the first
Bay Area chefs to become
a devoted patron of local farmers. That's no
