BY ALEXANDRIA GEISLER F rom the bold windowpane suits in Tom Ford's collection to the new silk tuxedos at Louis Vuitton, leading menswear designers are redefining men's fashion with vibrant colors, spirited prints, and storied accessories such as vests, bow ties, and ascots. In Las Vegas, a guy with an eye for luxury detailing, exquisite tailoring, and whimsical touches can be completely satiated. Considering the recent debuts of several local shops and fall's lineup of brand-new styles, four Vegas tastemakers reveal their preferred stops for superlative clothing. Hugo Boss Celebrated for its sleek contemporary menswear, Hugo Boss is a mainstay for the bestdressed gentlemen in our city. But its ever-growing selection of footwear is what draws local tastemaker Humberto Trueba each season. "Hugo Boss shoes bring a level of confidence while walking along the Strip," he says. This fall, the label offers an updated leather wing tip in a rich, dark brown. Says Trueba, "These shoes are a must for the Vegas professional." The Forum Shops at Caesars, 702-696-9444; hugoboss.com Loro Piana Family-run for six generations, Loro Piana just celebrated the opening of its third Vegas outpost, boasting contemporary menswear such as wool cashmere sports coats, silk button-downs, and versatile suede loafers, plus a unique collection of gifts. Joseph Federici, VP and general merchandising manager for retail at MGM Resorts International, says he chooses the brand for both casual and dressy occasions: "I have a vintage six-button double-breasted blazer that I will never part with, and when I'm in need of a sweater, Loro Piana is my go-to." This month, the Italian house unveils an exclusive line of jackets, scarves, and cardigans in rare vicuña wool. "Some of my favorite brands at Saks are Giorgio Armani, Zegna, and Kiton," says local art collector Patrick Duffy, a client of the store for more than 11 years. "My favorite suit from Saks was an Armani I wore for the 2011 Vegas Dozen. The suit was so classic and very comfortable." "Every Las Vegas man needs a great timepiece," says Todd-Avery Lenahan, principal of the Vegas-based TAL Studio. "Tourbillon presents the best timepieces in a single environment." The watch aficionado currently has his eye on the new Breguet collection, noting, "The design and technical artistry is architecture at a micro scale. It is mesmerizing to inspect and admire."
