Jim Koury is a seeker of personal truth, and desires to empower oth- ers to find their own personal truth, whatever it may be. He is also an ac vist who is not afraid to speak his mind, and ruffle some feath- ers, if necessary. His main objec ve is to get people to think and think for themselves. He espouses Aristotle's mantra, "It is the mark of an educated mind to en- tertain a thought without accep ng it." Jim does not force his views on others but just puts them out there for folks to think about and discard if they wish. Welcome to the November issue of Diversity Rules Magazine. It is hard to believe we are fast closing in on the holiday season. Crazy, eh? By the me you read this, we will be a week out from Elec on Day. I am keeping my fingers crossed that America does not get stupid again. We need to stay blue, people!! This month's feature is an interes ng one, compli- ments of my friends at Project Publicity once again. Dekkoo.com, a subscrip on streaming service dedi- cated to gay men, will begin streaming its new origi- nal series, Adam in Fragments, on November 17. The provoca ve, gri y drama follows Adam (Beau Swartz), a sex worker who has never had to worry about anyone but himself un l he meets Lucy (Keiva Bradley). Adam's urge to guide the young and naïve aspiring adult film starlet and protect her from their terrorizing handler, Felix (Francisco Antonio), triggers a series of events that sends violent ripples through the Los Angeles underground sex-trade. Adam in Fragments is produced by Dekkoo Films and The Ar- bor Company. Adam in Fragments stars Beau Swartz, Keiva Brad- ley, and Ryan Ruffing, and features suppor ng per- formances from Jonathan Miller, Francisco Antonio, Nick Flaig, Joe Garcia and Tara Emerson. Filming for Adam in Fragments was done primarily on the streets in downtown Los Angeles. I am anxious to watch this series, if possible, as I re- late to the main character, Adam and his sex worker profession. It certainly is an area that is provaca ve and controversial, but I think the more folks read about it, and understand it be er, many will come to realize that is simply is just another profession, like anything else. It is society's hangups and provincial thinking that keep the s gma a ached to sex work. It is high me that changes! I will inves gate where to get Dekkoo, and watch this new series scheduled to air on November 17th. This month's issue also has, as usual, a lot of great features. Along with the regular contributors such as Joey Amato, Diane Lang, and Stu Schwartz, there are plenty of other features that will interest readers ... movies, books, and good general interest stories. I hope you enjoy this issue. Have a great Thanksgiving, and hopefully, we will have much to celebrate on Elec on night! Fingers crossed. Everything is crossed! See you in December!
