Born in Cleveland County on March 12, 1930, he was a son of the late Ulice William "Pete" Gamble and Mable Turner Gamble. In addition to his parents, he is preced- ed in death by his wife, Mary Helen Gamble; a daughter Nancy Lynn Gamble Cooke; three brothers, William, David and his wife Shirley, Jody; and one sister, Jane Gamble. Those left to cherish his memory include sons; Bryan Gamble and wife Stacey of Shelby, Billy Gamble and wife Katherine of Boiling Springs, Bobby Gamble of Grover; a daughter, Lisa Adams and Josh Bundy of Dallas, NC and his lov- able dog "Barney". He was blessed with eight grandchil- dren, Brandon and Justin Cooke, Garrett Gamble, Will and Drew Gamble, Tiffany Adams, Trey Adams and Anna, Marybeth Adams, and three great grandchildren. Known as "Iron Man" dur- ing his trucking days, he was a simple yet stern man. He loved the Lord, and was blessed to be able to help so many throughout his life and always provided for his family. His legacy is a long life filled with hard work, sac- rifice, wisdom and a unique love his family will always remember. Funeral ser- vices were held September 21, 2022 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Buddy Morehead officiating Burial followed in Cleveland Memorial Park. Born in Cleveland County, on September 15, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Yates Dewey Beam and Minnie Ethel Willis Beam. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Otis Lee Peeler; and two sisters, Evelyn Blanton and husband Hal and Dorothy Grigg and husband Bob. She is survived by her son, Dennis Peeler and wife Faye of Fallston; daughter, Joy Shuford and husband Tony of Lawndale; four grandchil- dren; and seven great grand- children and two great great grandchildren. The funeral service was held September 21, 2022 at Palm Tree Church with the Rev. Jeff Clevenger officiat- ing. The burial followed in the church cemetery. Arrangements have been DARISE ARLEN HARTMAN Darise Arlen Hartman, age 89, of Dallas, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, September 15, 2022. He was born October 12, 1932, in Cleveland coun- ty to the late Lois Alvin and Velma Pearl Smith Hartman. Mr. Hartman served our country in the U.S. Army. In addition to his parents, he is pre- ceded in death by his wife, Shirley Elizabeth Beam Hartman; and his brothers, Herman, Ralph, and Bobby Hartman. Survivors include his daughters; Teresa Parsons of Gastonia and Robin Nicholson (Lee) of Bessemer City; sister, Jean Hartman; and sister-in-law, Mary Hartman. Born in Cleveland County on December 11, 1938, he was a son of the late Emmett Norman and Ruby Turner Norman Page. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Bobby Norman and two sisters, Wanda Conley and Burnette Hayes. Survivors include his wife, Sylvia Ann Silver Norman; one son, Donny Norman of Lawndale; one daughter, Amanda Hollifield and hus- band Duane of Lawndale; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Junior Hoyle; a grandson; three brothers, Lonnie Walker, Brady Walker and Berlin Walker and sister, Ruby Randall. Survivors include two sons, Jamie Hoyle and wife, Brenda of Morganton and Jerry Hoyle of Morganton; a daughter, Linda Sue Knoebel and husband, Steve of Connelly Springs; brother, Ralph Walker of Hickory; sis- ter, Carolyn Pruett of Casar; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
