NURSERY Cottage Gardens Nursery is a 100 year old family owned nursery located in St. Helena. The main focus of our nursery is growing USDA Certified Organic vegetable and herb starts for home gardeners. We pride ourselves on having an extensive list of high quality heirloom and conventional organically grown plants that will meet every gardener's needs. Our plant selection takes into consideration the diverse growing conditions of the North Bay and surrounding regions and every year we introduce new selections for our customers to experience in their gardens. WINE & SPIRITS DELI, CHEESE & BAKERY Pey-Marin Vineyards was founded in 1999 and crafts small lots of critically-acclaimed Pinot Noir and dry Riesling on the chilly west Marin coast. The Peys bring a combined 50 years experience to wine growing in Marin County and have played an integral part in the county's wine growing renaissance. Pey-Marin is a local, familyowned enterprise, with Jonathan & Susan Pey doing the heavy lifting, sometimes with help from their three daughters. The Peys encourage you to "Think Global – but DRINK LOCAL!" and enjoy their Pey-Marin wines with the bounty that Marin-grown produce, meats, seafood and wines offer. The Lafranchi Family has been established in Marin since 1919, when Fredolino Lafranchi and his wife started the Lafranchi Dairy in Nicasio. Swiss Master cheese maker Maurizio Lorenzetti has mentored our family in the art of making the cheeses of Valle Maggia. We offer local, handmade, sustainable, award winning organic Farmstead cheeses, based on traditional Swiss Italian recipes. The Lafranchi Family is extremely proud to bring our versions of the cheese of our ancestors to Marin, we hope you enjoy them. Home Grown in Marin. SUMMER 2013 • FLOURISH 31
