Get Your Groove on It may seem early to start thinking about the summer concert season, but tickets are on sale now for some of the hottest events of the season. Here's a breakdown of some of the area's best offerings: BreWerY oMMeGAnG May-September, Brewery Ommegang, County Highway 33, Cooperstown THE SKINNY: By partnering with regional promoter Dan Smalls Presents and attracting such big names as Wilco, Death Cab for Cutie and Bon Iver, Brewery Ommegang has put Cooperstown on the map as a happenin' spot for summer shows. This year's lineup is more roots/blues/ Americana than last year's indie-rock heavy hitters, but the shows are still sure to be a big hit. THE LINEUP: Old Crow Medicine Show (May 26), Grace Potter & The Nocturnals (July 25), The Black Crowes (Sept. 5). THE DEETS: Ticket prices vary; camping is separate. MoUntAIn JAM June 6-9, Hunter Mountain, Hunter THE SKINNY: This fourday, multi-stage festival goes into its ninth year on a wave of great press from outlets such as Rolling Stone and Pollstar, which rate it among the top music festivals in the country. Contributed Country legend Willie Nelson will headline the inaugural Taste of Country festival in June at Hunter Mountain. 16 O-Town Scene May 9, 2013 THE LINEUP: This year's lineup is fronted by Americana acts such as The Lumineers, Avett Brothers and Deer Tick; jammin' favorites such as Phil Lesh & Friends, Michael Franti and Spearhead, and Gov't Mule; and some wild cards, like alternative-funk rockers Primus, and children's music acts such as Story Laurie and Uncle Rock. THE DEETS: Tickets start at $49 for a single day, or up to $595 for a VIP package including premium parking and camping access, plus free food, cheap beer and access to a VIP lounge.
