C-2 Wednesday, April 14, 2021 The Press-Dispatch Catholic Baptist Church Note Deadline 10 a.m. Tuesday Lutheran Church of Christ Catholic Independent Independent Christian Church of God Church of God that person. Our God is waiting for us to pour out our hearts to him. He will take our burdens and concerns and hide us away in safety. We invite you to worship with us. Ralph Newkirk, Pastor Marla Morrison, Reporter CROSSROADS BAPTIST CHURCH 2789 S. State Rd 57 Oakland City Service times: Sunday school 9:30 a.m. CDT; wor- ship service 10 :30 a.m. Wednesday study continues of our ongoing series, Twelve Extraordinary Women, by ex- amining the life of Mary. This week, we discuss Mary's song of praise known as the Magni- ficat. The Magnificat is a won- derful song of joy that brings honor and glory to God. The study of Mary has been very interesting. If this is your first chance to join us, then you're not too late. We truly hope you get a chance to join us in our discussion. Remember, the study starts at 6 p.m. CDT, but is preceded by a meal that starts at 5:30 p.m.; of course, the children's activities also start at 6 p.m. Sunday morning worship service has started a new se- ries into Jonah; we call it "A Journey with Jonah." For the next several weeks, we will be walking with Jonah. Wherever Jonah goes, so will we. Some may think of it as odd that we would accompany a man that runs from God. Howev- er, when we truly think about it, we have done the same. In fact, there are times that we have not only run from God, but also questioned God, dis- obeyed God and have been an- gry with God. So, perhaps we are more like Jonah than we imagined. The series with Jo- nah promises to be insight- ful. We hope that you will be able to join us. Hope to see you there. If you are looking for a place to worship, and a church family, come to Crossroads. Curt Beadle, Pastor GLEZEN G.B. CHURCH Corner of Center and Sycamore Sunday school 9:30 a.m.; morning worship 10 :30 a.m.; Wednesday Bible study at 6:30 p.m. Remember those on our prayer list, the shut-ins and our lost loved ones. Unlike Nehemiah, our King- dom building often does not involve physically building something. Instead, when we build God's kingdom, we are helping bring people to a sav- ing knowledge of Jesus. As we say each time we repeat the Lord's Prayer, "Thy king- dom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven" (Mat- thew 6:10). One aspect of His kingdom coming is seeing it established here and now in the hearts of people who have committed to following Him and doing His will. "In this world you will have trouble. But take heart, I have overcome the world" ( John 16:33). Dwight Howe, Pastor Karri Brock, Reporter BETHEL G.B. CHURCH 4933 E. Co. Rd. 900 S. Not Israel, because the Jewish people rejected Christ and had Him crucified. God will tend to them in the future. But today, we live under grace not law. For the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death." This living today un- der God's grace is not a license to sin.
