"I love the Lord, because he hath heard my voice and my supplications. Because he hath inclined his ear unto me, therefore will I call upon him as long as I live" (Psalm 116:1,2). There is a beautiful thought picture that goes through the mind when reading these two verses. It starts with a lost soul crying out to God in re- pentance, and our precious heavenly Father bending low with his ear turned to the cry of the lost, hearing and an- swering that cry. At that mo- ment, when He inclined His ear unto that lost soul, His ear continued to listen. He never stopped listening. The psalmist realized this truth and said "Therefore will I call upon Him as long as I live."
