Farm Bureau accepting application for $1,000 scholarship Pike County Farm Bureau, Inc. is currently accepting applications for their annual $1,000 scholarship for high- er learning. To be eligible the student, parent, or legal guardian must be a member of the Pike County Farm Bu- reau (only Pike County Farm Bureau members will be con- sidered). Applicant must plan to pursue post high school education including two-year trade schools, community col- lege, or four-year college. Any major may apply, preference will be given to applicants pur- suing a degree related to Agri- culture or Agriculture Educa- tion. Agriculture related ma- jors might include areas such as nutrition, Ag research, Ag Econ, Veterinary Science, Ag Marketing, and other produc- tion Ag courses. Interested students may pick up an application at the Pike Central High School Guidance Department or the Pike County Farm Bureau Inc. office at 201 E. Main Street. Call Pike County Farm Bureau at 812-354-8488 for more information. Pike County Farm Bu- reau will select one scholar- ship winner and that student will be awarded $1,000 to- ward their future education. The application requests stu- dents to detail their education- al successes and answer sev- eral questions about their fu- ture educational plans and ca- reer goals. Applications must be post- al mailed or hand delivered to the Pike County Farm Bureau office located at 201 E. Main St, Petersburg, IN 47567 on or before April 30, 2021. The scholarship recipient will be announced by June 1, 2021. Church named new director at Memorial Hospital Foundation Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center announce the addition of Deidra Church as director of Memorial Hospi- tal Foundation.
