Student Spotlight PIKE-GIBSON WATER CORRECTION Pike-Gibson's Water Corporation's 15 percent increase was incorrectly reported in a previous issue. Pike-Gib- son's water rates are going up 15 per- cent and that will be reflected in the January 2021 bills. However, the rates The Press-Dispatch listed are half what the minimum bills will be. Pike-Gibson, in their legal notice, listed their 1,000 gallon rates, which were included in the previous issue. However, they have a 2,000 gallon minimum each month. So minimum charge each month will be $22.80, up from $19.82 with a 5/8 -inch meter. Consequently, the minimum water bill increase for the year will be $ 35.76. The price for each additional 1,000 gallons above the 2,000 -gallon mini- mum will cost a customer $10.67, which is up from $ 9.68 for up to 8,000 addition- al gallons. So a customer using 3,000 gallons a month will see a yearly in- crease of $47.64. A 3/4-inch meter will have a $54.81 minimum for up to 5,000 gallons, which is up $47.66. Over a year, that increase will be $ 85.80. A one-inch meter minimum increas- es from $ 94.06 to $108.16 for up to 10,000 gallons. A 1.5 -inch meter in- creases from $207.15 to $238.21 for up to 25,000 gallons.
